Born Ardmore Oklahoma 1938 to Samual J Postoak, Bernice Gillird, Wayne has 6 Brothers and 6 Sisters. He has four children, 2 boys and 2 girls (fraternal twins)
Wayne’s athletic accomplishments include high school all state basketball and football (honorable mention) Captain of Basketball team that went all the way to the state finals.
In College, Wayne was the football and basketball captain at Northwestern State where he was leading pass receiver in the Oklahoma collegiate conference.
Wayne was the basketball Coach at Haskell from 1961 to 1965.
5 years later, he came back to be the head coach and was also the athletic director from 1970-74.
While he was the director, they won the national marathon state championship in cross country & track.
Wayne was the First Native American to ring the opening bell at the New York Exchange Stock Market.
In business, Wayne was part of a joint venture that built 6 casinos and also built the first car wash in Lawrence.
